Atelier Sedap, mastering gestures and sublimating materials

Since 1968, Atelier Sedap has set the standard
in plasterwork, combining traditional craftsmanship with
innovation. This unique know-how, handed down from generation
to generation, is carried on by men and women
who are passionate about, and proud of, a demanding craft where the hand guides the
material with precision, exacting standards and elegance.

1968 – The genesis of l’Atelier

Atelier Sedap was founded in 1968 by Charles Bohu. At the time, Sedap was a family-run manufacturer of decorative staff elements, with a production plant in La Planche, near Nantes.

1982 – Gypsum and Light

In the 1980s, the company took a new direction. Benoît Bohu, son of the founder, joins the adventure and develops an innovative concept: combining staff with light to offer a new type of lighting solution.

2014 – Atelier Sedap, Living Heritage Company

Atelier Sedap is dedicated to transmitting and promoting the traditional techniques of staff and ornamentation. This work was recognized in 2014 with the award of the prestigious EPV label, Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant.

contemporary techniques. Each piece crafted
reflects this subtle balance between heritage and modernity,
between bespoke creation and technical mastery.

Today, this story continues with the same exacting standards and passion
.

Under the presidency of Niels Dujon and the direction of Étienne

the founding spirit alive, while accompanying its evolution.

This new chapter is the continuation of a
human and creative adventure, where innovation remains at the service
of mastery and elegance of gesture.

and promote the exceptional expertise that has forged Atelier Sedap’s
